WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (42-2, 39 KOs) was all smiles during the first day of open media training. “Adamek is like my second brother now. I’m watching his fights everyday,” said “Dr Ironfist” during the media day in Austrian resort Going.
With Adamek-Grant fight playing in the background, the 40-year-old Vitali looked rested and happy, being more like master of ceremony than the heavyweight champion. “I have all the trainers in the world helping me to beat Adamek. One for the warm up, one who is working pads with me, another to watch me hit the bag, another for tennis. All of them have one name, Fritz Sdunek,” laughed Klitschko who on September 10 in Wroclaw, Poland will defend his title against former light heavyweight and cruiserweight world champion, Tomasz Adamek (44-1, 28 KOs).
