Walter Sarnoi, Born June, 23, 1986, a Thai-American boxer, also known as “The Schoolboy,” he earned the name while balancing full-time school with full-time Professional Boxing. Walter Sarnoi is quite different when it comes to being your typical prizefighter. Walter is one of the very few, if not the only Professional Boxer who is fighting while working for a premier boxing promotional company. Walter currently is part of the Klitschko brothers’ K2 Promotions staff. Keep an eye out for the young prospect to fight on upcoming Klitschko events with K2 Promotions. As an amateur, Walter was ranked as one the top Featherweights in the United States. A Thai-American, born and raised in the East Los Angeles suburb of Monterey Park, California, Walter continued training with the US Boxing Team while pursuing his undergraduate degree at Northern Michigan University funded by the U.S. Olympic Committee.

After an accomplished amateur career, Sarnoi decided to turn professional after the 2008 Olympics winning his Professional debut over Jesse Adame by 3rd Round TKO. He continues to grow and develop as a fighter, taking part in training camps with World Champions Giovanni Segura, Miguel Vasquez, and Yohnny Perez. His faith, discipline, and hard work ethic have carried him through the long journey. Not content with his Bachelor’s degree, Walter earned his Master’s Degree (MBA) from Azusa Pacific University.

What’s more impressive than these accolades is that he continues to be active in volunteering and speaking at events for non-profit organizations such as the Boys & Girls club, Union Rescue Mission, and works HOPE 4 Children as a Sports Ambassador. Since traveling to many countries as a Boxer, Walter speaks 4 languages: Thai, Spanish, Mandarin, and English. Walter’s goal is to become the first Thai-American World Champion. Walter continues his ambitious endeavors as he ran for City Council of Monterey Park. A goal-oriented individual, he is bound for success and will make his mark in the sport and in life!
